Attention Women’s Group presidents, retreat leaders, and mother-daughter banquet coordinators

Cindy is accepting a limited number of speaking engagements for 2005 and 2006.  For more  information, please send an e-mail to request a copy of her personal brochure with speaker background, promotional ideas, and a list of possible topics.

Cindy grew up in a moving van, living in a dozen different homes before she finished elementary school.  When her parents settled in southwest Wisconsin, the family put down roots. and Cindy met her future husband.  At the time, he was only twelve-years-old, but quickly planted himself in her heart.  They've now been married more than thirty years and share their love with three children, a daughter-in-law, a son-in-law, and their treasured grandchildren.

After college, Cindy worked for several years as a medical technician in a chemistry laboratory for a large clinic.  When she "retired" to stay home to care for her small children, she used her last paycheck to fund a correspondence course in Christian Creative Writing, having long desired to grow in her ability to communicate through the written word.

The last lesson of her course required Cindy to write a script for a 15-minute radio broadcast.  She procrastinated for almost six months, arguing, "Lord, I live in the middle of the woods in central Wisconsin! When would I ever have a chance to write for radio?"

To say she'd finished the course, she finally dug out her assignment and mailed it in.  Within just a few weeks of receiving her certificate of completion, an opportunity was literally dropped in her lap!  (See MINISTRY BACKGROUND)

Today, Cindy dreams of additional avenues of communicating the truths of God's Word, including fiction, novels, non-fiction magazine articles, and perhaps Bible studies and discussion guides.

She isn't thrilled about cooking supper, but loves to experiment with gourmet meals.  She isn't keen on cleaning her own house, but dreams about restoring old Victorian homes.  She isn't fond of exercise, but loves to chase around behind her granddaughter.

In her home church, Cindy serves on the worship committee, as a pianist/organist, and through special music.  In the community, Cindy assists the school music program as an accompanist and has served in the past on the community youth board.  She and her sisters sing together for area church events as the Kindred Hearts Trio.

She's content with a cup of tea and a good book, and has as her life goal to be a woman of God who creates an atmosphere in which those around her can become men and women of God.
